we are going to run 2 courses at the Metfield Cafe, Snape Maltings, Suffolk, IP17 1SR
both courses are starting at 11am and you will be served a 3 - course lunch at the Cafe after some hands on baking and cooking (approx finish 3.30pm)

14/01/2011 - British Baking: Pies, Puddings & Cakes
In this course you will learn how to make a hand-raised pork pie, traditional fruit cake, steemed puddings and some regional specialities like eccles cakes, chelsea buns and lardy cake.
12/02/2011 - Advanced Bread Baking: Rye, Spelt & other specialities
This course will cover rye breads, accidity in rye bread, the making of spelt & kamut bread and the making of sourdough bread with wet & firm starters. You do not need to be a complete pro but a little understanding about baking and a keen interested will make the course more fun.
